ACDC is a Geraldton based community organisation dedicated to providing support to increase professional and community arts and cultural development within The City of Greater Geraldton and the Mid West Region. Currently jointly funded by Country Arts WA and the City of Greater Geraldton, ACDC has a focus on gaining additional finances to help increase innovation and community participation in arts and cultural development.
Formed by the community some 37 years ago, ACDC currently has 2 part time employees (an Administration and Finance officer and an Arts Manager). ACDCs Board consists of experienced business, finance, arts, and education personnel who have worked together, with staff and facilitation support, to develop a business plan for the sustainable future of the Mid West’s community arts and cultural development.
Community engagement and feedback has played a crucial role in ensuring our strategies and our vision, are aligned. It is through maintaining and growing healthy relationships, pursuing synergies and partnerships, planning and constant evaluation that ACDC will move forward.
Communication is vitally important and will play a strong role in the future of ACDC. ACDC believes that it can improve its communications and promotion of arts and culture within the City of Greater Geraldton and the Mid West Region.
